CHALLENGE & SOLUTION
The challenge of this project was to conduct an examination of the Effort Economy at Blue Star Contemporary, identifying its strengths and areas for improvement to develop a visual identity that effectively captured the exhibit’s themes of movement and effort.
The existing setup featured minimal environmental graphics and
lacked unique design elements to reflect the exhibit’s core concept. To address this, I designed a visual system incorporating clean typography and dynamic graphic elements that evoked the choreographed motion explored by the exhibit’s artists. This system was applied across various mediums, including printed exhibit booklets, wall graphics, and signage, creating a cohesive and engaging visitor experience that highlighted the work of the participating artists.
The objective of this project was to develop a cohesive visual system for a selected art exhibition, creating design materials that elevate and complement the artists’ works. Deliverables included an exhibit program, environmental graphics, and advertising designs that enhance the exhibition’s theme. The chosen exhibit was Effort Economy at the Blue Star Contemporary.
